Hi everyone! I’m a 26 year old majestic Blue & Gold Macaw named Niko. My mom presumes I’m a male, and I’m located in St. Catharines. My family loves me dearly but due to life changing circumstances I’m looking for an adult home with someone already experienced in parrot ownership, where I’ll live my best life. I’m not recommended for apartment dwellers or townhouses due to my Macaw noise levels. I have lived with my current family for 17 years so I need a person who is willing to put in the time necessary to gain my trust. Ideally someone who’s home a lot or always. I can talk. I flock call and will let you know when I want out of my cage - some people call it screaming. I suppose I’ve learned being loud gets attention. I’m hand friendly and will step up. I’m cuddly and will snuggle with my favorite person. I can bite as most birds can. I have experience with dogs. I don’t have experience with other birds. I sure love having people around me and lots of out of cage time. I also love music and singing.
