UPDATE: Boots  from the Annex Cat Rescue is ADOPTED!

Hello. My name is Boots and I'm a 4-year-old kitten-at-heart. My rescuer named me after the white spots on my paws, but my foster mom calls me a princess for my regal appearance. After spending most of my life fending for myself on the streets, I was brought inside by Annex Cat Rescue. It was a little difficult to adjust in the start but now I am very happy! I get all the soft plush ball toys in the world to play soccer with all day and night. I'm a regular David Beckham! I sleep on a soft comfy bed with my foster mom and my cat friends at night, stare out the window at all the cars passing by, and get all the pets and scritches I want.

I'm still adjusting to being indoors and can get a little scared when I hear loud noises or see sudden movements but I'm working on facing my fears. If my foster mom moves too fast and scares me into hiding under the couch, I come out right after like the brave kitten I am. One day, I will not run away at all. New faces are also scary, and it takes me time to get used to them, unless they have snacks. I love nomming on treats and will eat them out of a stranger's hand if they stay still. And to say thank you, I lick their fingers clean after the snacks have been nommed.

I taught myself how to use an enclosed litter box and drink from a water fountain by observing my two foster brothers. They are nice to have around but no match for my cuteness! My foster mom tells me every day that I am the prettiest with the cutest squeaky meows. It is a hard reputation to keep up so I make sure to meow and purr a lot at my foster mom every day and always groom to look my best.

After spending a few months adjusting with my foster family, I'm ready to find my furever home!

UPDATE: Felix from the Annex Cat Rescue is ADOPTED!

Felix is a quiet 10 year old tuxedo patterned cat with lots of love to give. He enjoys napping quietly through the day on a soft couch, but ideally he'd prefer to nap right beside you.

Felix is very affectionate and prefers to be around his humans, but is also happy to chill by himself when you're not home. He has a quiet, good natured demeanor and is very friendly. Felix recently had all his teeth removed so he enjoys wet food best but also likes to nosh on dry food when he's hungry. Felix has early heart disease but does not need medication. He is FIV+ but don't let that hold you back! He is a gentle soul who loves a good snuggle. Felix would make a great addition to a quiet house or apartment.

UPDATE: Bridget from the Annex Cat Rescue is ADOPTED!

7/6/2020

Meet the gorgeous Tabico, Bridget, available for adoption from the Annex Cat Rescue!  https://annexcatrescue.ca/adopt/

Bridget was TNR'd about 10 years ago, but was released because she was not social, and not very interested in living indoors with people. During this time, she was living on the porch of an abandoned house, where she was fed daily and given a winter shelter. She always kept her distance and it was just assumed she would live her last days on the street.

In 2019 the neighbors complained and asked that the poor girl be removed. Bridget's rescuer trapped her again and thanks to Annex Cat Rescue she was vetted, given full dental attention and socialized to indoor living. She is still a timid girl and if you sneak up on her she will let out a little hiss, but she is very sweet, gentle and is adoring her new life indoors.

She barely meows and won't cuddle but loves to be gently pet, kissed, and given belly rubs. She is very relaxed about other cats, likes to sleep, shows off on her scratching pad, and sometimes has odd bursts of kitten-playfulness.

In the morning, she stands quietly at her foster's bedroom door and waits until she gets up for her morning wet food. Overall, she is a delightful little companion, that would make a great addition to a quiet home.

Bridget is FIV+ and this will need to be taken into consideration with homes with other cats. That being said, cats with FIV can live long and full lives. Please ask us more if you have any questions!

Bridget is up to date on her vaccines, spayed and microchipped. To learn more about Bridget and how to adopt, please leave your number and the best time to reach you at 416-410-3835 or at [email protected]
